Finished Rings
Wedding rings are traditionally very simple bands, which is why our wedding ring workshop works so well for beginners. With the help and guidance of your tutor, Donna, you will be able to make your own beautiful wedding rings from start to finish, in just one day.
There are a few decisions to be made prior to the day. They are profile shape, metal, dimensions, and finish.
Profile shape
Choose from Oval, D shape, Flat or an Inverted D shape profile.
Dimensions
You can also discuss dimensions (width and depth) with Donna. If you have an engagement ring, you may like to compliment it with similar dimensions.
Metal
There are a number of different alloys of precious metals to choose from.
If you have an engagement ring, we recommend making your wedding ring in the same alloy (colour and carat, if gold), if you plan to wear them next to each other. A harder metal will rub the other away over time.
Finish
You can create various surface finishes on your rings. You could choose a classic, highly polished finish. Or, make your own mark on them with a rustic hammered texture and matt finish.
You don’t have to decide on the finish until the day. However, if you would like a textured finish, please discuss this with Donna beforehand.

9ct rose gold 4mm and 6mm Flat hammered rings. Satin finished and polished inside and on the edges.
Polished platinum 6mm and 3mm D shaped rings.
9ct yellow gold 4mm hammered gents and 3mm ladies oval wedding bands. Both satin finished with three 'Moon and stars' flush set diamonds in the ladies band.
18ct white gold Inverted D shaped wedding rings. Gents 5mm, satin finished and polished on the inside. Ladies 3mm, polished.
